Essential Oil Uses - for Work, Home, and Travel
Many people select a given essential oil because they have read or heard that it can help with a particular problem. What they don't usually realize is that each oil can work on many issues simultaneously. Let's take lavender as an example. Lavender oil is often used for relaxation. But when we open the EDR to the "lavender" entry, it's like a peacock opening up its feathers! For the body, we find that lavender oil contains compounds that are anti-convulsive, antifungal, anti-inflammatory, and antiseptic. We read that it contains compounds that combat excess sebum on the skin, that reduce flood fat/cholesterol, that are relaxing and vasodilating. For the mind, we learn that lavender can be balancing, calming, relaxing, and can aid in increased concentration and mental acuity. How is it possible for one oil to do so many things? Because its chemical makeup consists of over a hundred different constituents. This is true for essential oils in general. In this section, you can also discover - how the QUALITY of the oil affects your results - a
