The Essential Oils Desk Reference or EDR - the Best Essential Oil Reference Work in the English Language!
The Essential Oils Desk Reference - EDR for short - remains the fastest and easiest way to find out anything and everything about essential oils. It is, in my opinion, the best essential oil resource in the English language. It also includes safety guidelines and ideas on how to use each oil. Whether you're a beginning or advanced oil user, you'll feel so much more confident about your oil choices after you've consulted the EDR.
Two Versions - Hard Cover and Spiral Bound The hard cover edition is 518 pages and the smaller, spiral-bound one is 352 pages. You'll want both - one for home and one for travel. The smaller one is always in my briefcase. The smaller version is a black and white version of 352 of the 518 pages of the larger one.How easy is it to use? Very easy! The quickest way to get the information you want is to 1. look up the term in the index 2. If multiple pages are given, check out the one in bold first. This usually does it. What is in the EDR? For the beginner or for people who have been buying other essential oil books, the 588 pages of this book can seem overwhelming at first. When I'm teaching people how to use it, I divide it into five main sections.
1. Introduction (includes safety information) 2. Essential Oils and Essential Oil Products 3. Education 4. Health Issues and Essential Oil Recommendations 5. Appendices and Index
People tend to use parts 2 and 4 most. For a complete list of physical, psychological, and emotional issues included in the Personal Usage section of the EDR, I invite you to click on EO USES. Where can you purchase the EDR? The newest edition (October 2007) of the hardcover Essential Oils Desk Reference is available at
Amazon.com
for $49.95. At
Essential Science Publishing
, the hardcover edition is available for $49.95, the small spiral bound edition is available for $16.95, and both together sell for $59, as of this writing. When you get to this website, on the left navigation bar, select ESSENTIAL OIL BOOKS. Then you'll need to scroll down a bit, and you'll find choices for the hardcover edition, the spiral bound edition, or both together. To receive the most benefit from your therapeutic grade essential oils, the Essential Oils Desk Reference is a must! If you have any questions regarding the EDR, please feel free to
