Essential Oils Resources in Your Favorite Formats!

Essential oils are fun to use and can be quite effective, provided you know what you are doing.

To help speed your learning curve, I've included a special section just for BEGINNING OIL USERS. It includes helpful topics such as:

  • 7 Mistakes not to make when buying essential oils
  • Why it's smart to start with a kit
  • 7 Tips as you're opening your first kit
  • 7 Tips for getting started safely
  • What to expect when switching from recreational oils to therapeutic grade essential oils
  • 7 Tips for getting started safely
  • What to expect when switching from recreational oils to therapeutic grade essential oils
  • What if you accidentally get an essential oil in your eye?
  • 22 Ideas for what to do with those empty oil bottles

You can educate yourself with a reference guide for essential oils – I’ll share my favorite one with you in a moment – CDs, ecourses, by-mail courses, seminars, testimonies, joining online essential oil chat groups, and more.

Out of all the reference guides, the one I use most is the Essential Oils Desk Reference . I consider it so important that it has its own page on this website!

Other reference guides that I pick up frequently include the following:

• Inner Transformations Using Essential Oils: Powerful Cleansing Protocols for Increased Energy and Better Health by Dr. LeAnne Deardeuff, DC, and Dr. David Deardeuff, DC. You’ll find valuable information here that you won’t find anywhere else!

• Essential Oils Integrative Medical Guide by Gary Young

• The Chemistry of Essential Oils Made Simple: God’s Love Manifest in Molecules by David Stewart, Ph.D., DNM

• Healing Oils of the Bible by David Stewart, Ph.D., DNM

• Medical Aromatherapy by Kurt Schnaubelt

• Advanced Aromatherapy by Kurt Schnaubelt

• Aromatherapy Lifestyle by Kurt Schnaubelt

• L’aromathérapie exactement by Pierre Franchomme and Daniel Pénoël, M.D.

• The Aromatherapy Book by Jeanne Rose

• Saving Face by Dr. Sabina DeVita

• Releasing Emotional Patterns with Essential Oils by Carolyn L. Mein, DC

For CDs and videos, I typically look to Abundant Health.

There are several excellent eCourses and I’m hoping to add to the list with my own in the coming year. I also plan to write workbooks to accompany each of the essential oil kits offered by Young Living.

For aromatherapy courses by mail, I recommend the ones offered by the Pacific Institute of Aromatherapy and the one by Jeanne Rose.

When I have a health issue, the first place I go is the EDR, and then the online essential oil chat groups may be my next stop. When I read how other people are handling the same issue, I get more ideas about what might be right for me.

Testimonies are another great way to learn about more ways of using essential oils. What makes this website different from others is that virtually all of the testimonies you will find here are from people I know personally. This part of the website is still under construction.

So there you have it – my quick list on how to get started quickly, easily, and safely with essential oils. Enjoy!
