Your Home Office Made More Productive with Essential Oils!
If you work in a home office, your home office supplies should include essential oils, because you have even more choices of which l oils to use and how to use them than someone who works in an office with others. For example, you can use an electric diffuser to be helping you "in the background," whereas someone who works in an office with others may not be able to profit from this quick and easy way of benefiting from essential oils. 1. Clear Thanking and Accuracy Peppermint, lemon, and lavender have all been studied for this purpose and have been shown to increase accuracy by as much as 54%. Peppermint is 28% and lavender is 20%. These three oils may be diffused, inhaled directly, added to water, tea, etc. Some people like to put one drop on the right thumb and then put it to the roof of the mouth. Some people like to make their own home office blends. For example, I will sometimes put one drop of lemon and one drop of peppermint in a glass of water, because this combination tastes great and because I know the benefits of these two oils in my home office. 2. Productivity For increased productivity, I like lemon, peppermint, frankincense and the essential oil blends of Clarity and Brain Power. Some people prefer the Highest Potential or the Magnify Your Purpose blend. The easiest way to assist with productivity is simply to diffuse them. 3. Motivation My favorites are Mountain Savory and the the Egyptian Gold blend. The Essential Oils Desk Reference states that mountain savory is a powerful energizer and motivator, whereas Egyptian Gold is just my personal favorite. I can close my eyes, inhale it slowly for a minute, and suddenly see exactly how to complete the task at hand. I'm inspired and motivated. Other people may prefer Inspiration, Into the Future, Live with Passion, Motivation, or Magnify Your Purpose. 4. Creativity To generate more inspiration and creativity, many people inhale, diffuse or wear as perfume or cologne the blends called Inspiration or Sensation. 5. Harmonious Relationships Whether you're in your home office meeting with someone in person , by phone, or over the internet, you can use essential oils to help create more harmonious relationships. Essential oils used for this purpose include geranium, rosewood, bergamot, ylang ylang, rose, spruce, and the essential oil blend called Harmony. 6. Generate More Business For this purpose, including generating the kind of business that's right for you at your home office, you might consider spruce, ginger, patchouli, frankincense, myrrh, cinnamon bark, or the Abundance Blend. I also like Egyptian Gold for this purpose. 7. Outgassing from Papers, Magazines, Carpets, and Draperies Whether your papers, journals and magazines are recent or dated, they are in a slow process of decomposing and the ink with which they were printed is outgassing to you on a daily basis. Simply diffusing certain essential oils has been shown to take care of these issues. For this purpose, I diffuse the Purification blend of citronella, lemongrass, lavandin, rosemary, melaleuca alternifolia, and myrtle. The EDR recommends diffusing this blend only 15 to 30 minutes every 3 to 4 hours, so the easiest way to do this on a regular basis is just to put your diffuser on a timer. 8. Building Your Immune System or Help Getting Over a Cold, the Flu or Allergies This is another area where it's much easier with a home office. For building the immune system, I like to start the day with a drop of lemon oil in my water. In the afternoon, I'll switch to a drop of the Thieves blend. Another thing I do to build my immune system is to take a break or a shot of the NingXia Red drink which contains essential oils. There are many oils that can be used for help in getting over a cold, the flu, or allergies. Clove essential oil, for example, has the highest anti-oxident rating of all the oils and some people enjoy putting that in a tea. The Thieves blend can by used by itself, as a lozenge, a spray, and even combined with other powerful immune-enhancing oils in a caplet called Inner Defence. This last one is my new miracle product, whether it is allergies or first signs of a cold. It's not meant for daily use, like the Longevity caplet is. Since getting started using essential oils, I've not had the flu, but other people find that using immune-enhancing oils on the soles of the feet and in the diffuser are very helpful. The Inner Defense caplet, which consists of an enhanced Thieves blend with oregano and thyme added. This is all that is in it - therapeutic grade essential oils. 9. Headaches Even though headaches can have a number of different causes, many people find relief in one or more of a small number of essential oils. Peppermint oil is the oil of choice for many people, and some prefer PanAway, M-Grain, or Clarity blends. The most common use of these headache relief oils is putting a few drops on the temples or the part of the head that is hurting. 10. Multi-Tasking Just as people multi-task, essential oils accomplish many different things at once. Lemon essential oil, for example, has been shown to increase accuracy, improve memory, and we also know that it is an immune-enhancing oil. Over time, people come to favor certain essential oils and certain ways of using them. When you've had success with one or more of these tips, I'd love to hear from you. Please keep in mind that everything I've shared with you refers only to therapeutic grade essential oils and using them in accordance with the Essential Oils Desk Reference. If an essential oil is not a pure, therapeutic grade, I'm not sure that I want it on my skin or inhaled through my nose into my brain!
