10 Most Popular Essential Oils of the 21st Century

The 10 most popular essential oils of the early 21st century are bergamot, frankincense, geranium, jasmine, lavender, oregano, peppermint, rose, sandalwood, and tea tree.

Palo santo, an oil from Ecuador, is quickly gaining on the oils in the top ten list, so we may see it there by next year.

When you click on the hyperlink for any one of these oils, you will be taken to a page devoted to that particular oil. There you will find the following:

1. What my favorite reference guide for essential oils says about it.
2. How people are using it.
3. Other information of interest.

Just a quick reminder - the information in this website refers only to pure, therapeutic grade essential oils used in accordance with the EDR. For example, if you buy an inexpensive helichrysum oil, please don't expect to have the same results that you will likely have with a therapeutic grade essential oil.

And now, here are ten of the most popular essential oils of the 21st century! They are listed in approximate order of popularity. As number 11, I'm adding one of my personal favorites, Idaho balsam fir. As #12, I'm including palo santo because I believe that it will be in the top ten by next year.

#1 Lavender
#2 Sandalwood
#3 Rose
#4 Peppermint
#5 Tea Tree
#6 Jasmine
#7 Oregano
#8 Geranium
#9 Frankincnse
#10 Bergamot
#11 Idaho balsam fir
#12 Palo santo

This section is still under construction, so more information should be available very soon. If a specific oil has a link, it's ready for you. If there is no link yet, the information for that particular oil should be available soon. You can always contact me with questions about these most popular essential oils.

Enjoy!
